Symptoms of High Blood Pressure
Most of the time, high blood pressure has no symptoms and is found when having a blood pressure check during a routine medical appointment.
Because there are no symptoms, people can develop heart disease and kidney problems without knowing they have high blood pressure.
All adults with normal blood pressure should have their blood pressure checked every one to two years.
People with high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, kidney problems or certain other conditions should have their blood pressure checked more often — two or more times per year.
