Helping our members get well and stay well
Sharp Community Medical Group makes it easy for you to get the vaccines you need. Most routine vaccines such as COVID-19, RSV and flu do not require a prescription from your doctor. Please confirm with the pharmacy or your primary care doctor if one is needed.
To ensure insurance coverage, vaccinations should be completed at a preferred Sharp Community pharmacy (e.g., Vons/Albertsons) or at a Sharp Community physician’s office. Some vaccinations may require a prior authorization (e.g., travel vaccines) approval prior to administration. If a vaccination is provided at a non-preferred pharmacy or without a prior authorization approval, it may not be covered through insurance. If you're not sure, please confirm with your physician or the Sharp Community Pharmacy Benefits Administration team by calling 858-499-4699.
Vaccine availability can vary. We recommend contacting your pharmacy ahead of time to verify that the vaccine is in stock and available.
For other non-flu or non-COVID-19 vaccinations such as Mpox, please call Sharp Community Medical Group customer service at 858-499-2550 or toll-free at 1-877-518-7624 with any questions and to confirm the best location to receive your vaccination.
