Sharp Community Vaccine Program
Sharp Community makes it easy for you to get needed vaccines. Contact your primary care doctor for a prescription and show it to the participating vaccination site. All vaccines require a prescription from your doctor unless otherwise stated.
Get the flu vaccine. It's more important than ever.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends getting your routine vaccinations — including the annual flu vaccine —during the COVID-19 pandemic. Keep yourself, your family and your community healthy and prevent illnesses that may lead to doctor visits and hospital stays.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, or if you've' had a positive test for COVID-19, don't go to your doctor's office or vaccine site for your routine vaccination. Call your primary care doctor to find out when it is safe for you to go in person.

Know before you go.
- Make sure you have a prescription for the needed vaccine - except for flu vaccination.
- Call the location you would like to go to and confirm they have the vaccine in stock and the vaccination pharmacist is available that day.
- Be sure to bring your current health plan ID card and at least one form of valid picture identification. Present this information to the clerk or pharmacist and inform them that you are a member of Sharp Community.
- There may be a co-pay for select vaccines for Medicare members, and Vons/Albertsons Pharmacies will collect this. If you have a commercial HMO you will not have a co-pay.
- Please note that Vons and Albertsons are only able to serve members ages 5 years and up for regular vaccines. For patients 18 months to 5 years old, please use MinuteClinic ® for vaccinations, except for Varicella and Hib.
