Ways to Get Care
For routine or immediate medical needs, you have options.
At Sharp Community, we know that access to quality health care is important. That's why we provide you with more ways to get care in San Diego County than any other medical group.
Get care in person.
Doctor's appointments
As your partner in health, your doctor knows your wellness needs and medical history. Contact your Sharp Community doctor to schedule routine and preventive care, physical exams or chronic disease monitoring; they can help you improve your health and stay healthy.
Don't have a primary care doctor? We'll help find a doctor near you.
Urgent care
Some health concerns require immediate attention by a doctor. With over 20 locations offering extended hours, there's an urgent care clinic near you. You can be seen right away for non-life threatening conditions like cuts and broken bones.
MinuteClinic
For non-urgent illness and injuries, MinuteClinic ® inside CVS Pharmacy delivers convenient, affordable care. You can visit a MinuteClinic for the same low copay as a primary care doctor visit. With evening and weekend hours at over 15 locations, MinuteClinics offer nurse practitioners who can diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for common illnesses and more.
Emergency care
Should you experience a life- or limb-threatening condition or severe injuries, call 911 or go directly to your nearest emergency room.
Get care virtually.
Virtual visit with your doctor
With a video or phone visit, also called a telehealth visit, from your Sharp Community doctor, you can receive the care you need from the safety and comfort of your own home.
