According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, drinking too much — on occasion or over time — can take a serious toll on your health. Think about how much alcohol you are having and if it is affecting your life. Do you hide the amount you drink? Are your family and friends worried about how much you drink? Are your work and/or personal life suffering?
In order to help prevent alcohol-related problems such as liver disease, high blood pressure and depression, rethink your drink and limit how much you have the next time you’re out with friends or having dinner at home.
